Chiropractic care offers a natural, non-invasive approach to relieving back pain, neck pain, headaches, and a wide range of other conditions. Here’s why many people choose this form of treatment:
Precise Pain Relief
Chiropractic adjustments are highly effective at targeting the source of back pain.
By correcting spinal misalignments (subluxations), chiropractors reduce pressure on nerves and surrounding tissues. This focused approach helps decrease inflammation and supports the body’s natural healing response, delivering both immediate relief and long-term improvement.
Medication-Free Care
At a time when medication is often the first option, chiropractic care provides a safe, drug-free alternative.
Using gentle, hands-on techniques, chiropractors help manage and relieve pain without relying on pharmaceuticals. This reduces the risk of side effects or dependency while working in harmony with the body’s own healing ability.

Whole-Body Approach
Chiropractic care takes a holistic view, recognising the connection between all systems of the body.
Rather than treating symptoms alone, chiropractors consider factors such as posture, lifestyle, stress, and daily habits. By addressing these underlying causes, care not only relieves discomfort but also supports long-term health and resilience.
Better Spinal Function
A well-functioning spine is essential for overall wellbeing. Chiropractic care focuses on restoring alignment and improving how the spine moves and performs.
Through targeted adjustments, chiropractors increase mobility, reduce stiffness, and improve flexibility. This not only eases existing pain but also helps prevent future issues, keeping your spine strong and adaptable.
Individualised Care Plans
No two people experience pain in the same way, which is why chiropractic care is tailored to each individual.
Following a thorough consultation and assessment, chiropractors develop personalised treatment plans that address the root cause of symptoms, supporting effective recovery and long-term wellbeing.

"I'd never had chiropractic treatment before, and came to Sensus on a friend's recommendation after having suffered an injury. Treatment at Sensus was excellent. Not only has the original injury completely resolved, but my general mobility and health have also improved as a result of thoughtful, specific advice (for instance about supplements, stretching exercises). I'm so glad I came here, and would recommend it to anyone.."

"I can’t think what my posture would have been like, or what upper spinal pains would’ve continued if I hadn’t started regular adjustments at Sensus a few years ago. Staff expertise is matched with real caring kindness, and sense of joy. I look forward to my visits. I’m in mid series of physio and soft tissue work which has increased the range of motion in my neck. I’m 60 yrs old, and this is how I’m looking after myself now."

Chiropractic treatment is very safe and has far fewer risks than many other treatments for your problem, such as medication and surgery. I am fully qualified and registered with the General Chiropractic Council and I am a member of the United Chiropractic Association. My approach is particularly gentle and the treatment will be tailored to your specific needs depending on any risk factors that are identified before treatment commences.

Yes. I will only use safe, gentle techniques that are suitable for your age and condition.
It depends on your particular condition, its severity and your response to treatment. The longer that you have been suffering with symptoms, the longer it can take to get better. I will advise you at your Report of Findings of your own likely recovery time, and how to minimise the chances of problems happening again.
Chiropractic training prepares practitioners to recognise conditions which are not appropriate for chiropractic treatment, so it is safe for you to go directly to a chiropractor without having to see your GP first. This is part of the purpose of the initial consultation, to ensure that there is nothing else going on which may warrant referring you back to your GP or to any other appropriate specialist.
